RELAXING DAY

Why is when you can sleep late you get up at the crack of dawn?  I was wide awake at 6:00am this morning.  I finally got out of the bed around 7:30am.  Brad ate breakfast and I started cleaning up around the house, changing the bed sheets, sweeping the floors, and washing/drying clothes.  We left around 9:30 to go workout.  I had run 10 miles the day before so I didn't want to run two days in a row-so all I did was a circuit.  It took maybe 30 minutes.  I don't care though-those kinds of workouts are my favorite.  We left the gym and ate SubWay. It was so yummy-oven roasted chicken breast.  We really had a relaxing day-went to Target and walked around.  Came home and took a LONG nap.
We decided to go eat at Outback-we asked Janice to go-Sam is out in Colorado- visiting his Grandson-Eli.  I can't wait to see those pictures, Sam.  You know you better take a lot since you made Janice go buy another camera!! ha!  We talked Janice into spending the night with us-I think she really wanted to stay with us anyways.  She didn't need to stay at her house by herself.
My plans for tomorrow were to go run the marathon course with some people-but I think I am just going to save that long run for Monday-or sometime next week.  Janice and I will get up and go to church and then go shopping.  Then we are planning on having a Super Bowl Party at her house.  Brad has to work so I am staying with her.  It is going to be so much fun-I bet we both fall asleep before it is even half time.  HA!  I really only like watching the commercials=I hope they have some good one's this year.
I think I warned you before that my life is pretty boring.  I will try to spice it up on Monday with a "Not Me Monday" special.  I enjoy reading those on other people's blogs.  Good night!!!
Please remember to check out Kelly's blog-Baby Harper is 2 weeks old and BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thank You Thursday

I was really wandering what I was going to write about today.  So after coming home-to my mother and father in law's house-I decided to have a THANK YOU THURSDAY!!

I have so much that I am very thankful for-here are a few:

Brad-Thank you for being a great man, husband, and friend.  I love when you play with my hair until I fall asleep, make me laugh until I cry, when you tell me you love me for no reason, believing in me, supporting me, and for being my husband and my BEST friend.  You are the best husband any one could ever have-I appreciate you so much-there is no one that makes me happier than you.  You make my life complete-the past 6 years that we have been married have been amazing.  Our relationship is so different-we have so much fun when we are together.  And no one can take that away from us.

Mom and Dad- Thank you for believing in me.  I never thought I would go to college, marry the love of my life, and have a family of my own-still working on that.  But you are the one's that believed in me.  Thank you for your love and support.  When I was younger, I would get so upset because no one wanted to go out with me-I thought it was because of dad-little did I know that God had a plan in my life-something that was so much bigger and better for me(yes Brad that is you). How did you know that God was leading me to someone that would care and love me like you do? Thank you for allowing me to  spread my wings and fly.  I love you!!!

Janice and Sam- First off-thank you so much for accepting me.  I will never forget the night I met the two of you-out on the front porch eating dinner.  Brad told me, "If Mama don't like you-I am not sure we can stay together.  Mama can tell if you are a keeper."  Now- how was I supposed to act?   I don't think I ever prayed so hard that night-please God just show them that I am really a sweet person.  I am not just another girl and I really do love your son. Guess what?!?!  I PASSED!   Thank you so much for everything you have done.  I am so blessed to have you as my mother and father-in-law.  Really! Your like my very own parents.  I look forward to staying with you every third night.  Have I ever mentioned that your food is great too!!!  I love you so much.

Maw-Maw- Thank you for raising me to have Faith and Love in my life.  You are such a strong woman.  I love you so much!  Thank you for helping me make my way through college; without your support I might have just settled for a little Associates Degree instead of going to Bama.  I can't wait until you move in with us and take care of your little Great Grand-daughter.  It will happen one day-I just know it.  Keep the faith, right?

There are so many other people I am thankful for-too many to name.  Sorry so long-more to come tomorrow.

FIREPROOF

I have just finished watching Fireproof!!!  WOW-it was really good.  The acting was not so great but the story was wonderful.  I think I may challenge myself to the Love Dare here in the next few weeks.  Brad's brother (Josh) and wife (LauraLee) got the book for us at Christmas.  So I will keep you posted on that each day.

I have been reading Kelly Stamps blog for over a year now.  She just had Baby Harper a week ago and she will soon be able to go home.  Go here to read her story.

As of today, I am officially registered to run in the Mercedes Marathon on February 15.  OK so I am only running the half (13.1 miles) but that is enough.  Training this week has been off to a slow start.  Monday I ran outside -a little over 5 miles and Tuesday and today I was so caught up in work I didn't really have time-Brad says I just didn't make time.  Hate to admit it but he is right.  I just need to suck it up and go run.  I plan on running tomorrow even if I have to run on the treadmill for an hour!!!

Pray for Kelly, Scott and Baby Harper

WELCOME!!

Let me start first by introducing me and Brad.  We have been married for 6 years-well June will be six.  We dated for 3 1/2 years before we married.  Yes-if you are trying to do the calculation I am 27 years old.  I work as the Fitness Supervisor at St Vincent's One Nineteen Health and Wellness.    And I also attend UAB-I am going back to school to get my Master's and maybe teach one of these days.  Right now I am really into running.  I am training for the Mercedes Marathon(1/2) in February-just a few weeks left.  Then I will be traveling to Nashville, TN to run in the Nashville Music Marathon.  It is such an exciting time for me.  Brad is a firefighter at Hoover, AL.  He has been fighting fires since he was a little kid.  He is truly a strong person-he is my HERO!!!  Brad and I enjoy a lot of the same things.  We enjoy working out-watching our TV shows-that is a whole other blog story.  We love going to our wonderful church, Gardendale First Baptist.  I love my church, the people, the music, Pastor Kevin, and how you can feel God's presence the moment you walk in the doors.
Well that is enough about me and Brad-I am leaving to go to my sister-in-law's baby shower. More to come later.
