BABY BEDDING AND FURNITURE

Brad and I think we have come to a conclusion with Lil Boy Braden's bedding & furniture.  I was hoping for Expresso furniture but it looks like we will be going with cherry.

Check out the pics below and let me know what you think.

This is the baby crib
This is the changing tower
The hutch that goes on top of the changing tower.
4 Drawer dresser

Now onto Braden's bedding.  We will not do a "theme" for the bedding.  We will do the following colors: spice, cream, and a touch of sage.  Check it out.
This is the color for the bedding-the quilt, bumper, and diaper stacker

Here are all of the pieces in cream.
Fitted sheet-striped cream, spice, and sage
Changing table cover
Area rug

I will post pictures of Braden's paintings soon.  Aunt Mere Mere will be painting them for us.

BIG TUMMY TUESDAY

That is how I feel BIG-just yucky!!! I go to the Doctor tomorrow-she will probably ask me what I have been eating-I might have gained a little too much weight so far.  Oh well Braden needs lots of protein so that he can be the best baseball player-like his Daddy.
These are just for Aunt Mere-Mere!!
Not so sure we will be doing anymore front shots-that is kinda scary!!!

Off to work.

WEEKLY UPDATE

So let me give you all a quick run down of this past week.  I didn't get to take many pictures-I always have my camera but I just don't think about it until it is too late.

Thursday we found out we were having a Little Boy!!!  I was only 16 1/2 weeks but we just could not wait until July to find out.  So we went to Virginia College and saw his "stuff" as Brad puts it as plain as day.    Here is how we broke the news to our family.

I had invited family and friends.   We were able to share the SURPRISE with Mom, Dad, Magon-(sister-in-law-my brother's wife-Chad had to work), Dylan, Rylan, Janice, Sam, Laura Lee, Joshua, Lane, Meredith, and Lee.  We all met at Jim and Nick's to eat dinner.  When everyone got there I gave them all the menu and they were not to open it until everyone had one.  See their reactions.  I think the were really wanting a girl.   But are thrilled to have another boy.

CIRCLED PART
ITS A BOY!!

Below is a picture of me and Rylan-he has got to be the CUTEST boy in the whole world-
that it is until November 23.  haha!!!  I look really tired!!!

He looks like Paw-Paw here.

Below is Lane-he is really a sweet baby too.
Looks just like his mommy and daddy!

Friday I worked 5-2pm.  My sister ended up not coming because I couldn't get off any earlier.  I had already cleaned most of the house but was going to let her clean the blinds and baseboards. Oh well I can hit those later.  Meredith came over and ran on the treadmill while I cleaned the house. We then went to the grocery store and ate dinner at CFA.  We came home and cut up all the fruit!  We didn't get in the bed until like 12am.

Saturday I woke up to the worst storm in the world.  It was thundering, lightening, and raining something awful.  I was not very happy about that considering we had a party tonight.  But it finally started cleaning up around 1pm.  I finished cleaning the house and cooking.  We had so much food.  And it was so pretty.  I of course was so stressed out I forgot to take any pictures.  I AM SO MAD AT MYSELF!!  I think we ended up having about 20-25 people come and we really enjoyed ourselves.  I will try to get Meredith to send me a few pictures if she has any to share.  I didn't get in the bed until 1:15am and slept all day Sunday.

I will post my 17 week picture this week.  I am really tired right now.  Have a great Monday!!!

He Kicks, He Shoots, He Swings, HE SCORES!!!

WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!
Braden _____ Cox will be here November 23, 2009.

More to come with this post.

BUSY WEEK AHEAD

I am so busy this week-but am looking forward to it so much!  Here is a preview of the things that you will reading about this week.

Monday-Today I went to work at 5:00am.  So that means I go toff at 2:00pm and thought I would come home take a power nap-meaning 30 minutes.  But I was so tired i just laid on the couch. Brad had a few things that he needed to do tonight so while he was out-I decided to go for a jog/walk. I thought it would be a nice little jog at 7:00pm-IT WAS HOT!  And HARD!!  I would jog for a minute and then walk one minute.  I made for 30 minutes and my sunburn started itching so bad-I wanted to cry.  So I showered and it still itches-so the thing that I found that helps is a cold pack.

Tuesday- Meredith and I will meet at 7am at the football field to workout.  I don't go to work until 12pm so there are a few things I need to get done after workout.
Things to do:
Workout at 7am
Clean bedroom/bathroom
Stop by St Vincent's to get an appmt card for Thursday's event
Hair appmt at 11:30am
Be at work by 12pm
So you know what that means-I have to work until 8pm.  YUCK!!

Wednesday- We have a LONG leadership meeting scheduled at work-well at least it will be a fun meting.  I heard today from a pretty reliable source that we will be meeting from 9am-11:30am.  We will leave One Nineteen and go eat and bowling.  After that we get to go HOME!!! I should be on my way home by 3pm.  WOW!  I think I may go to the Brookwood Mall and pick up a few items for Meredith and Lee's shower and a few things for Baby Cox.

Thursday- TODAY IS THE BIGGEST DAY of this month!!!  Brad and I will find out what we are having.  We really aren't scheduled for another ultrasound until July.  SO a few people have said for me to call Virginia College.  So we will be going at 11:30am on Thursday.  The big thing is figuring out how we will tell our parents.  Not how but WHEN!!!  I WILL NOT tell them over the phone and I certainly want it to be special-because everything about these nine months are so special and I don't want anyone to forget.  My little sister, Mary Beth, will be coming to my house to help me get ready for the next big event this month.  Lee and Meredith's couples shower on Saturday.  I have lots of cleaning and cooking that I need to do to prepare.  I may ask her to ride with brad to Virginia College to be there when we find out.  She wasn't able to be there when we told the parents so this might make up for it.  Depends on what time she will get to our house.

Friday- Mary Beth will be at my house to finish cleaning.  I am so thankful for my sister-i know I don't tell her near enough-I never get to see her-so it will be fun hanging out with her again for a few days.  I have to go to work for at least half a day and then come home to help her.

Saturday- Today is one of those busy days-will I have enough hours in the day to get things perfect for this shower?  I have to-go pick up the cake-balloons for the mailbox and but first I will drop by Oak Mtn. to wish some of my staff good luck for the triathlon this weekend.  I will cheer them off to a start and then cut out to pick up the last minute things.  The party starts at 6pm- so I need to rush to get things done and maybe just MAYBE sneak in a power nap.

Sunday-  Brad and I will tell our parents today.  I know they have to wait-but just think of how hard it was for us to WAIT too.  Like I said it has to be extra special especially for the Father's since this is an early Father's Day present.
Maw-Maw if you are reading this-I will have to call you and let you know on Thursday what we are having BUT you have to promise not to tell ANYONE until I give you the go ahead!!!!  haha

So as you can see I have lots to get done and in not much time.  I will try to update each day-if I don't then know there will be a LONG post coming.

Much love!!!

WEEKEND UPDATE

This weekend went by super fast.
Friday night Brad and I went out to eat with Lee and Meredith at Jim and Nick's.  I love the Fried Chicken Salad from there.  It was so good!!!
Saturday I got up and worked out with Meredith at the Hayden Football field.  We ran a lot and did stadiums.  I thought my legs would be killing me today but they don't hurt not even a bit. We went to the lake and got SOOOO sunburned.  I really need to start wearing sunscreen.  We got out there around 11am and left at 3pm.  It was so hot but felt so good just riding around on the boat.  I miss those days-but there should be plety more to come this year.  I just think I might need a bigger swimsuit-I am about bust out of last years suit.
We invited Joshua and LL to come eat dinner-Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole, lima beans, green beans, and veg-all.  I also made Apple Crisp for dessert with vanilla ice cream.  IT WAS SO YUMMY!  I didn't get to take any pictures because I was so hungry and then got so tired.  It was good to spend some time with LL.  She is such a good mommy.  I hope I adapt as well as she has.  I got to ask questions and really learn more from her.  Baby Lane was such a good baby boy.
Sunday-Today Brad had to go to work.  It is never fun to be home and Brad be at work.  So I got up and went to 9:30am church and then picked up some flowers from Wal-Mart and came home and planted them.  They look pretty good.  I was dodging the wasps the whole time but I made it without getting stung.

Then I came in and cleaned the kitchen really good.  We are having a couple's shower here next weekend for Meredith and Lee an I have A LOT to get done.  But it will get done.  My sister is coming over Thursday ad Friday to help clean and cook.  Around 2:30pm Meredith called and asked me to go to Target to register for a few more items since her registry is completed.  So I decided to go ahead and put a few more things on my registry for Baby Cox.
That is about all that has gone on today.  I am about to leave to go stay with Sam and Janice - I have to get to work REALLY early tomorrow.

WOW-15 WEEKS

What a difference one more little yet L-O-N-G week can make.  This was taken on Monday but I feel so much bigger today.  Here is what is going on in there:
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam.
