WEEK 14 AND BOOKS

Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck her thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, her facial muscles are getting a workout as her tiny features form one expression after another. Her kidneys are producing urine, which she releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process she'll keep up until birth. She can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch her sucking her thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, she measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and she weighs 1 1/2 ounces.
When I got home today I had a big box waiting for me.  Janice had sent me all of these books. She is making sure that her DIL is doing the right things for her grand baby.  Thanks Janice-I can't wait to start reading all of these books and learn everything there is to know about this baby.   I know Brad is thrilled you got me these books too. haha
Have a great FRIDAY!!!

MONDAY-blah

Today has not been the best of days.  I feel horrible!!!  I do not have an appetite-I do not crave anything like they say pregnant people do-I am so thirsty but I can't drink another ounce of water-I have the worst headache and tylenol has not helped-I went to work for 5 hours today and thought it was the longest work day of my life-I came home and slept for two hours.  WOW!!! I don't feel sorry for myself at all and don't want you to-I am loving PREGNANCY!  OK I don't like the side effects of pregnancy but I am so blessed.  I can't wait to have another ultrasound of my little baby.
Today I am 14 weeks-here are a few pictures to go along with this post.
Here are some pictures from my 13 week appointment.  I can't scan them quite yet so I took pictures of them and posted them for you to see.
This picture is one of my favorites-his/her arms are resting in his/her knees.
TOO CUTE!!
Laying back relaxing after the hard workout that morning.

Hope you have a great week!
HAPPY MONDAY!!

Fingerprints and Shrimp

I know what you are all thinking- "How do fingerprints and shrimp go together?" Well read below to find out!!

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. Your baby is almost 3 inches long - the size of a medium shrimp and weighs nearly an ounce.

So there you have it! I have to work 12-9 today so I am not sure if I will have more posted today. Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday. I sure will miss OASIS tonight.

Love,
Mandy

Check-up Week 13

Today was our 13 week appointment.  It went great.  Brad decided to meet me there.  I was not expecting to get a third ultrasound but I got there and they called me back.  I was so excited. Nervous but excited.  The tech said that the baby was still really small and the doctor probably wouldn't be able to hear the heart beat.  So they did this so they could measure the heart beat. My due date is Nov 23.  But Baby Cox was measuring Nov. 26.  They are going to stick with Nov 23 as my date but I am pretty sure he/she will come when ready.  I am so excited.  My scanner is not hooked up right-I know you all want to see pics.  Baby Cox was just relaxing today-laying back with hands on knees.  Brad said that Baby Cox was in there saying, "Momma slow down-I am exhausted."  I go back on June 17-my birthday-but we don't find out what it is until July!!!  That is way too long!!!!  So we have a few options up our sleeves.  More to come later.

I know this picture is not of Baby Cox-but t is the first grand-dog.  And Dinkie is just so cute. She usually stays at my Mom and Dad's but they are on vacation.  So we get to keep her.  Janice and Sam kept her this weekend for a few days-they didn't want us to come get her.  She is the BEST dog ever!!!  Check out Dinkie in this picture with Brad-she is taking one of many naps.  I wish I could post a video-so you could hear her snoring.  It is hilarious.

I am afraid Dinkie will have a hard time come the end of November.  She might have to give up that spot on Daddy's chest for her baby sister or brother.

NEW THINGS FOR BABY COX

Kim-my personal training client-gave me these two little outfits.  She was one of the first to know since I waited to tell my parents.  She is such an awesome person.  She has given me such great advice and prayed for this time to come for such along time.  Since Baby Cox will be born around Thanksgiving she wanted to give Baby Cox his/her first outfit.  Of course we want a HEALTHY baby-but I have prayed for a little girl.  So maybe she will wear this cute snowman smock dress with Santa Claus this year.

Baby Cox will be a HUGE BAMA fan.  Even Granddaddy Sam and Nana Janice thinks so.  When I got to their house this week this was on my bed. I know it must have been hard for yall to purchase this but this Baby is going to be the best and biggest Bama fan.  Baby Cox might be wearing this the first week he/she is born.  Alabama and Auburn play the week Baby Cox is due.

Andrea gave us these cute memory boxes and photo albums.  Andrea and I do devotion every morning in my office.  We have prayed together for this day to come.  I know she is as happy as everyone else.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY-MOM AND DAD

After trying to conceive for the past 6 months (on chlomid) I took THE test on March 20, 2009. After many negative tests- I look down after three LONG minutes passed and could not believe what my eyes saw-

PREGNANT!!!!

My first thought was is this true? I couldn't do anything but look in the bathroom mirror and laugh at myself. Lord, please tell me this is true. We made a Dr appointment at 6 weeks-the Dr wanted to have a follow up in two weeks. I couldn't even begin to tell you how or when we would tell our parents. I was thinking around Easter but decided to wait-I went back at 9 weeks and heard the little baby's heart rate beating at 173bpm. WOW!!! That made me feel so much better. Now it was time to tell my parents--Mother's Day was the best time to tell all the family that Brad and I were expecting our first baby. This is a day I will never forget neither will any of them. Check out the response we got the day we told our parents.
