First Doctor's Visit

We went to Braden's first doctor visit on Tuesday- he was such a good boy-well once we we got in the car...I got up and fed him and put him down so that I could get a shower and get ready for his 8:30am appointment. Yes 8:30am is early but I want to get in there and get out before all the sick children start coming in there. I changed his clothes and had the cutest little outfit on him-we were putting him in the car seat and he let it rip-I could not smell it for the next 30 minutes in the car so we got him out and changed his diaper. In the meantime he sprayed his mommy and daddy every where-forgot to cover that little thing up. So I ran upstairs and got his going home outfit-I wanted him to be extra cute for his first appointment. We got it on him and apparently Mommy didn't burp him good enough he spit up all over the outfit. I could have cried. Guess what I did-yes I confess I wiped it all off and said deal with it-we were already going to be 15 minutes late PLUS it was raining something awful!!! So we got in the car and he was out like a light. He slept the whole way there. We checked in and they called us to the back-they said to undress him down to his diaper-and bring him to get weighed. I though oh great-he absolutely HATES being naked-he gets so cold. OH YEAH! He let it rip again right before he was weighed-so we had to change him before he got weighed I know what he was thinking- "I got in trouble for losing too much weight the last day in the hospital so I better put on as much as possible now." Well at birth he weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces. The day we left he weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces and on his first doctor appointment he weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces. GREAT!! He passed this test and guess what he is not even crying! I feel so good at this point-man all the other babies are crying and Braden is just chilling out on the scales looking around. We get back in the room and Daddy gets him all bundled up in his blanket to keep him warm. Dr Walley comes in and exams him and said that Braden was doing GREAT! He sounds great-his little navel will come off soon-his manly parts healed perfectly and looks to be a happy baby. Mommy and Daddy had a few questions-why does he get the hiccups so many times-yes he gets them at least 3-4 times per day-as many times as he did in utero- is it really possible for babies to get their nights confused and a few other questions. He said we are doing everything right-or so he can tell. haha We go back to see him next Monday at 8:30am-we hope he is at least up to his birth weight. He has been eating very well-I KNOW!!!
Here are a few pictures of his first doctors visit.
